These are decorative clips, not sturdy everyday hardware. The body is slim and rigid, so it can crack or snap and the metal clasp can bend out of shape if a clip is forced open, twisted, chewed, dropped or sat on. The printed name sits under a glossy finish that can scratch if it is scrubbed or soaked.
Please take them off before rough play. Sports, swimming, wrestling with siblings, bedtime and anything that involves the clip being tugged at will shorten their life. Open the clip to take it out rather than pulling it through the hair. Worn gently and stored on the card they arrive on, they last a long time.
Items damaged in use, including cracked clips, bent clasps and scratched print, are not eligible for replacement, refund or exchange. Please order only if this is acceptable to you.
Every pack is one blue striped clip and one pink striped clip. That combination is fixed, so there is nothing to choose at checkout and no risk of two the same arriving.
Shades may look different in person. Screens render colour differently, and small batch to batch variation is normal, so the exact blue and pink you receive may not be a perfect match for the photographs.
Orders are not eligible for return or exchange on the grounds of a slight difference in shade.

What exactly comes in the pack?
Two striped hair clips, one blue and one pink, each printed with the name you type, up to 8 characters. She can wear one on each side or keep the second as a spare.
How delicate are they?
Delicate enough that they need looking after. The body is slim and rigid, so forcing the clasp, bending the clip back or sitting on it can crack it. Worn gently, they hold up beautifully. Think of them as a party shoe rather than a school shoe.
What if a clip breaks?
Damage from use is not covered, so we are unable to replace, refund or exchange clips that have cracked, snapped or lost their finish. Handle them gently and remove them before rough play, sports and sleep.
Will the printed name rub off?
Not with normal wear. The name is printed onto the clip and sealed under a glossy finish rather than stuck on top. It can scratch or dull if the clip is soaked, scrubbed or rubbed against rough surfaces, so keep them dry and wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Can I choose different colours?
Not at the moment. Every pack comes as one blue striped clip and one pink striped clip, which is why there is no colour to pick at checkout.
How many characters can I have?
Up to 8 per clip, including spaces. That covers most first names and nicknames. If her full name is longer, use the short version she is actually called by, or her initials, which also sit neater on a small clip.
Can I have a different name on each clip?
No, both clips in a pack carry the same name. If you are ordering for two girls, add two packs to your cart and type each name in its own box.
Will they stay put in fine or slippery hair?
Yes. The metal clasp snaps shut and holds rather than sliding, and each clip is light enough that it does not drag a small section of hair down. For very fine hair, clipping over a small twist of hair holds best.
How do I look after them?
Handle them gently, open the clasp to take it out rather than tugging, and wipe with a soft dry cloth. Keep them out of water, so no pool and no shower, and store them on the card they arrive on so the surface does not get scratched in a drawer.
Are they safe for little ones?
Edges are smooth, but a cracked clip leaves small hard pieces and the clasp has a spring in it, so we recommend grown up supervision for children under 3 and no wearing them at bedtime.
